Cookies Policy
How we use cookies and similar storage — and how you can control them.
Last updated: 27 June 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how The Abdul Majid Foundation uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) when you use our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We keep this to a minimum. We use only the storage that is necessary for the website to work and to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising, marketing or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage is a similar mechanism your browser provides to remember information between visits. Both let a site keep small pieces of information — for example, the secure token that shows you are signed in.
What we use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Supabase | Essential | Keeps you securely signed in to your account. | Until you sign out or the session expires |
| amf_companion_v1 | The Foundation | Functional | Saves your charity companion conversation in your browser when you are not signed in, so you can revisit it. | Until you clear it or your browser storage is cleared |
If and when we add optional services (for example, anonymous, privacy- respecting analytics or live payments), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Managing cookies and storage
- You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and clear any guest companion conversation saved on your device.
- Because the storage we use is essential to signing in, blocking it entirely may stop parts of the website from working.
Data protection registration
The Foundation is completing the charity registration process in England & Wales, and our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is pending. We are committed to handling personal data in line with UK data protection law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
