Terms & Conditions
The terms on which you may use our website and services. Please read them carefully.
Last updated: 27 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the The Abdul Majid Foundation ("we", "us", "our" or "the Foundation") website and services. By using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
About the Foundation
The Foundation is a family-led humanitarian initiative inspired by Islamic values and open to all. It is currently completing the charity registration process in England & Wales. It is not yet a registered charity and no charity number has been issued. Information on this website is provided for general information and to keep supporters updated as the Foundation is established.
Pledges and donations
- A pledge made through this website is a voluntary expression of your intention to give. It is not a legally binding contract and creates no obligation to pay.
- No payment is taken at the pledge stage. You may change or withdraw a pledge at any time before completing a donation.
- Online giving will open once the Foundation's registration is complete. At that point, donations will be processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal), subject to their own terms.
- Gift Aid, where applicable, will only be available once the Foundation is registered with HMRC, and only where you confirm your eligibility and consent.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information.
- We may suspend or close accounts that are used in breach of these terms or applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the website or its security; or
- submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive or infringes the rights of others.
The charity companion
Our charity companion provides general information and guidance to help you think about giving. It is not a substitute for professional advice and does not provide religious rulings (fatwa), or legal, financial or tax advice. Its responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should verify important matters — for example, specific Zakat calculations or rulings — with a qualified scholar or professional. We are not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the companion.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to the Foundation and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Third-party services and links
The website relies on, and may link to, third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party websites or services.
Disclaimers
The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or that the information on it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its trustees, volunteers and providers will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
